LPOHS March Newsletter
Hello, LPOHS Families!
March is a time of momentum, focus, and preparation as we head into the final stretch of the school year. We encourage students to stay engaged, maintain strong attendance, and continue building the academic habits that will set them up for success this spring and beyond. Our staff remains committed to supporting students academically, socially, and emotionally as we move into this busy season.
🌱 March Focus – Growth & Goal Setting
March is a great time for students to reflect on their progress and set goals for the remainder of the semester. Advisory lessons and classroom conversations will emphasize perseverance, responsibility, and finishing strong. We encourage families to check in with students about their goals and celebrate their growth. Remember to check Schoology and contact teachers as you need.
⭐ Accreditation Review
This month, LPOHS will participate in our accreditation review process. This is an important opportunity to showcase the great work happening at LPOHS and highlight the dedication of our students and staff. The process also helps us identify areas for continued growth, particularly in attendance, state and district assessment performance, graduation rates, and overall student achievement. Accreditation is about continuous improvement, and we look forward to using the feedback to strengthen our programs and better serve our students.
🙋 Parent/Guardian Volunteers Needed – Accreditation Interview Panel
As part of the accreditation review, we are seeking 6–10 parent/guardian volunteers to participate in an interview panel. This is a valuable opportunity to share your perspective and help highlight the strengths of LPOHS while contributing to our growth efforts. If you are interested, please contact Belinda no later than March 6th. We greatly appreciate your partnership and support.
📅 Attendance Matters
Consistent attendance continues to be essential for student success. Please make every effort to have students at school and on time each day (8:00 a.m.), unless they are ill. If your student must be absent, please contact the school office to report the absence and avoid truancy concerns. Every day counts as we head toward the end of the quarter.
