Welcome to Lake Pend Oreille High School
Welcome to Lake Pend Oreille High School
Greetings, LPOHS Families!
As we step into October, I want to take a moment to reflect on the amazing start we’ve had to the school year. The energy in our hallways is contagious, our classrooms are buzzing with learning, and it’s clear that our students came back ready to grow, connect, and succeed.
📈 MAP Assessment Success
We’re also thrilled to celebrate the strong effort our students put into their recent MAP (Measures of Academic Progress) assessments. As you may have already read in the MAP Letter .docx, these assessments help us understand where each child is academically so we can better support his/her learning. Thank you for encouraging your child to demonstrate grit and perseverance. In fact, ask your child if he/she was able to participate in the “Mon-Yay” celebration.
🏆 Attendance Matters
We have hovered around the mid-80% attendance so far this year, and we appreciate your commitment to getting your child to school each day, on time and ready to learn. Good attendance is one of the most important factors in a child’s academic success. Remember to check out our LPOHS Student Handbook 2025-2026.docx for more specific information on incentives and consequences related to attendance policies and protocol.
