Dear LPOHS Students and Families,
I hope this message finds you well and enjoying the final days of summer break.
First, let me say how thrilled I am to be joining a school with such a profound belief in doing "whatever it takes" to ensure students graduate and become productive members of society. As an educator, leader, and parent, I believe in the power of schools not just as places of learning, but as places where young people discover who they are, what they care about, and how they can make a difference in the world. That is exactly what LPOHS did for my own daughter who graduated two years ago.
A little about me — My husband, Ryan, our twenty-year-old twins--Collin and Olivia, and I moved to Sandpoint from St. Louis, Missouri four years ago. Ryan works for Schweitzer Resort and owns a small landscape lighting business. We absolutely love to ski but sure have been enjoying water activities and hiking during the summer months. I have worked in education for twenty-eight years, serving as a middle school teacher, elementary counselor, and administrator. The past four years, I served as the principal at Sagle Elementary School. Throughout my journey, I’ve remained committed to supporting both students and staff in reaching their highest potential. I believe in listening closely, acting with fairness, and leading with heart. As your principal, I am here to ensure that every student feels seen, heard, and supported. I want to build a school culture where kindness, respect, and safety are just as important as academic achievements. Whether you're stepping into high school for the first time or heading into your final year, know that you matter, and you belong here.
To our families — I welcome your partnership. I truly believe that when schools and families work together, our students thrive. I look forward to meeting you, learning from you, and working alongside you to give our students the very best.
To our students — I can’t wait to get to know you. You are the heart of this school, and your voices will shape the future we build together. I will always be in your corner — cheering you on, challenging you to grow, holding you accountable, and celebrating your success.
