Message from the Principal
Welcome Back, and Happy New Year!
We hope everyone had a restful and joyful winter break! As we step into 2025, we are wrapping up quarter 2. There are three weeks left in this quarter, so please have a conversation with your student to see if they need to make a plan to finish successfully. We are all coming into the new year with fresh energy and enthusiasm.
Attendance
In December, we averaged 79% daily attendance - We can do better! While illness tends to happen more in the winter months, please make sure we do everything we can to attend every day. There is a direct correlation between the number of absences and the number of credits received. Please let us know if you need help coming up with a plan to get your student to school.
Important Dates
January 20 – Martin Luther King Jr. Day (No School)
January 24 – End of Second Quarter (No School
January 27 – First Day of Third Quarter
Academic Reminders
Because we are on a 4x4 schedule, each quarter is very important. Students either receive a quarter of their credits for the year or they do not. Please contact your student’s teachers or advisor to get a report on grades and attendance. Remember that you can always log into Schoology to gain access to grades and assignments. If you have any questions about Schoology, please call us, and we will be happy to help. Creating a successful quarter starts with communication and planning. Please let us know how we can help.
Winter Weather Precautions
While this has been the mildest winter in Sandpoint that I can remember, It is north Idaho, and weather will happen.
